This image was taken at the Capitol Reef National Park in Utah, a park that offers amazing red rock formations and extreme landscapes. While exploring this historic land I was able to find this old rustic wagon sitting peacefully in the open field, with these beautiful red canyons as its backdrop. This wagon appeared to be almost in the middle of know where and it immediately made me wonder what its story was. Who put this wagon together, what was it used for on these ancient lands, and how long it had been sitting here alone and unused for. I named this photo the last ride, because to me it seemed as though a long time ago someone had put together this wagon using parts from around their farm and it was likely used to help work these extreme lands. The rust and decay of the wagon likely means that its been sitting out here for a while and that it has done its job and it has earned its retirement.
