Creative photos are often my favourite because they allow me to really bring your love story to life. Achieved in a simple and stress free way these are the photos that make you look amazing in front of the camera and keep things fun!

To create fun and artistic photos we harness your unique personalities to dictate the image. We like to compose the images using artistic angles, shooting through objects to create interesting images and other fun techniques that are all designed to help make you look amazing and create memorable photos.

WHAT IS A CANDID PHOTO?
Candid shots are often the foundation of our galleries. They help to immortalize the story of your day by capturing the natural smiles, laughter and happy tears of your loved ones.
HOW IS A CANDID PHOTO ACHIEVED?
Candid photos capture you without any interruption. You can think of these images as the behind the scenes photos that complete your story. Each beautiful moment of your day including getting ready, the venue, the speeches, the dancing and everything else in between will be captured. All the hard work you put into organizing your big day will be captured in these photos and the entire days fun will shine through these candid images.

HOW WOULD YOU DESCRIBE YOUR STYLE?
I am constantly evolving as an artist, and so too does my style. Generally speaking, I would describe my style as natural, warm and true to life colours. I like my photos to have a soft feel that is authentic to the time and location that the photos were taken.
If it's raining I want you to be able to smell the rain and feel the cold water against your skin. If the scene is a warm, glowing sunset, I want you to feel this warmth emanating from the image.
My focus is to make the photos authentic, to tell your story, and to allow you to feel the same emotions you felt during the photo session, as you do when reliving those moments later on in your final gallery.
I'M SHY IN FRONT OF THE CAMERA, WHAT DO I DO?
This is something that I hear often from my clients, and it's also something I experience myself. People often think that they need to be able to pose like a model to participate in a professional photography session, but that couldn't be further from the truth.
You are hiring me as your professional photographer not just because of my technical camera skills, but also because I have learnt the proper prompts to help you effortlessly look great in front of the camera. My goal is to help you feel relaxed, have fun and to bring out your unique personality. Our photos will never feel like something that is forced and instead you will often be "posing" for the camera without even realizing it!
WHAT SHOULD I WEAR?
Once you have booked, a style guide will be sent to you outlining some ideas of what to wear, so no need to worry. Just show up and I will take care of the rest!
WHERE ARE YOU BASED AND DO YOU TRAVEL?
I split my time between Ottawa, Ontario and Rapid City, South Dakota, and can travel wherever you need me to.

CAN I SEND YOU MY INSPIRATION?
YES, absolutely! Of course I have my own style and ideas but I always love to receive insight from my clients on anything in particular they might like. My goal is always to make my clients happy and so any ideas you have I'd love to hear them.
Each couple is unique and I want the photos to be something that we created together.
WHEN WILL WE GET OUR PHOTOS?
For Engagements + Portraits:
3 weeks or less.
For Weddings:
The full gallery will be delivered within 6-8 weeks.
WHAT HAPPENS IF IT RAINS?
For all portrait sessions we will reschedule to the closest available day for the both of us, unless you would like to shoot in the rain and it is safe to do so. Sometimes, conditions outside the norm create for amazing photos, so if you are comfortable in the rain, then I will be there.
For weddings, often the conditions are outside of our control but overcast lighting produces some of the most beautiful images. Cloudy days, are always a treat for photographers as it creates a soft canvas light. Whatever the conditions, I will always create stunning and memorable photos.
Our gear is water resistant and we will work around the rain a best we can.
